With the creation of our new umbrella organization we now have our own identity with a unique payroll, benefits, performance management system, service recognition programs and other common practices across the system. _Job Summary_ The quality improvement coordinator will monitors and maintains a focus on patient outcomes for continuous quality improvement. They will utilizes teamwork and collaboration through the facilitation of group process for the achievement of positive departmental and hospital wide outcomes. Reports to Director, Manager. This position will be responsible for the oversight and data analysis for Cardiac Surgery, Vascular Surgery and Interventional Cardiology patients as part of the STS, VQI and NCDR registries for the Heart & Vascular Institute. The role responsibilities may also include development and implementation of registries as needed/required and other clinical databases to support the program, performance of clinical follow-up and oversight of quality outcomes data; identification of opportunities for performance improvement, assist with design and monitoring of key performance indicators generate accurate and timely reports as needed, dissemination information to the appropriate committees, teams and physicians facilitate collaboration across the HVI Quality Team. This position will be part of the Heart & Vascular Institute’s quality data management team. Bachelor's degree required master's degree in a health related field with emphasis on quality improvement and research preferred. RN preferred. • 2-3 years hospital experience with knowledge of medical diagnosis and treatment essential. • Must be able to communicate with tact and confidentiality. • Database management preferred. • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint preferred.
