ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:

Operation PAR, Inc. is a non-profit organization offering the full continuum of services for individuals with substance use and/or mental health disorders. PAR has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in west Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical service, and research. PAR's Medication Assisted Patient Services (MAPS) Program provides quality out-patient opioid maintenance therapy to individuals suffering from the effects of Opioid Use Disorder (OUD).

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provides nursing care to patients in an outpatient, substance use disorder treatment setting. Works with the program physician and other members of the treatment team to coordinate patient care. Duties include:
  • Administering patient assessments, evaluations, and screenings.
  • Dispensing & administering medications (e.g., methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone, naloxone)
  • Providing patients with health care education.
  • Medical charting & documentation.
COMPENSATION: $24/hour ($25/hour on weekends). Additional +$1/hour if bilingual (English/Spanish).

HOURS/SCHEDULE: 40 hours/week within the following shifts: 5 days a week
  • Monday 5:00AM to ~1:00PM
  • Tuesday 5:00AM to ~1:00PM
  • Wednesday 5:00AM to ~2:00PM
  • Thursday 5:00AM to ~1:00PM
  • Friday 5:00AM to ~12:00PM
  • Saturday 5:00AM to ~11:00AM
  • Sunday 5:00AM to ~11:00AM
LICENSES, CERTIFICATION AND REGISTRATIONS:
  • Florida Nursing License
  • Valid Florida Driver's License
  • Must pass level II background and drug screen
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to manage time and resources
  • Ability to speak coherently and convey concepts
  • Computer proficiency required
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS:
  • Ability to write accurately and legibly
  • Ability to sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of time
  • Ability to bend, stoop and reach
  • Ability to sit in meetings for extended periods of time
  • Ability to move throughout program facilities both indoors and outdoors
  • Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds
  • Good hearing and vision
