What You'll Do:
- Conduct comprehensive neurological evaluations and assessments in the inpatient setting.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for a variety of neurological conditions.
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as radiologic exams, EEGs, and evoked potentials to inform treatment decisions.
- Perform essential neurological procedures including thrombolytic therapy, brain death exams, and other relevant procedures as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, including nurses and therapists, to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Document patient interactions, diagnoses, treatment plans, and interventions thoroughly and efficiently within the Cerner electronic medical records system.
Who You Are:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with board certification in Neurology (required).
- Current and active license to practice medicine in Michigan (required).
- ACLS and PALS certifications (required).
- Experience with the interpretation of a variety of neurological diagnostic tests (radiology, EEG, evoked potentials) (preferred).
- Strong clinical decision-making skills and a commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- The ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
