- Short-Term Commitment with Consistent Schedule: We need a qualified hospitalist to fill a specific need for a week-long coverage period (August 13th - 18th). This locum tenens position offers a predictable schedule ideal for those seeking a short-term but impactful commitment. We're also open to discussing longer-term engagements (2-3 months) for the right candidate who can commit to a consistent schedule.
- Focus on Inpatient Care: This position focuses exclusively on inpatient care, allowing you to utilize your skills in managing admissions and coordinating treatment plans for a manageable patient load.
- Supportive Work Environment: You'll collaborate with a team of experienced nurses and specialists, including CRNAs, PICC teams, and interventional radiologists. We offer temporary privileges to facilitate onboarding and a supportive work environment that fosters collaboration.
Key Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice medicine in Oklahoma (active license required)
- Board-certified in internal medicine (or eligible)
- Current certification in ACLS (BLS preferred)
- Experience using MediTech EMR system (preferred)
Schedule and Patient Load:
- Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off model with 12-hour day shifts only (night coverage provided by telemedicine service)
- Patient Load:
- 20-25 patient encounters per day (including admissions)
- 5-6 admissions per day
Additional Information:
- Admissions are required for this inpatient-focused role.
- Rounding assignments will be based on patient acuity.
- Procedures such as intubations, central line placements, and codes will be managed by dedicated teams or specialists with your support.
