About the Role

The Field Operations Manager builds and operationalizes Treehouse's service delivery at scale, with a focus on electrical services. While delivery may be executed through Treehouse-employed technicians or third party Treehouse-aligned installers, the Field Operations Manager is ultimately responsible for ensuring that every installer experiences ease, convenience, and clarity in their work process and that every customer experiences exceptional quality, professionalism, and customer care. Our Field Operations Manager pushes the boundaries of what's been done within the trades to establish Treehouse as the nation's leading electrical services provider, true for our customers and for the employees who bring our vision to life!

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a scalable field logistics strategy, including key performance metrics, that maximizes service-delivery accuracy, efficiency, and throughput
  • Cultivate, train, manage, and retain a distributed network of field technicians to support electricians in the field while building a trusting and inclusive culture for our field team; deliver day-to-day non-technical support to field teams, and manage time-off requests and payroll approval
  • Oversee purchasing and supply management for field team members to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment required for installations, improving team efficiency, throughput, and financial performance
  • Ensure exceptional installer value by way of a simple and convenient delivery environment and best-in-class operational support
  • Oversee and maintain the operational readiness of company vehicles; respond promptly to issues or breakdowns, coordinating repairs and minimizing disruptions to operations
  • Manage inspection processes for installations, ensuring all work complies with local codes, standards, and customer expectations; identify, document, and resolve inspection-related issues in a timely manner, coordinating with field teams and regulatory bodies as needed
  • Provide 1st party customer support, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns promptly to ensure a positive customer experience; oversee post-sale resolution processes, coordinating with internal teams to address and rectify any service-related issues


Minimum Qualifications

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or other computational field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Two or more years of experience in operations and logistics
  • Experience in or adjacent to the electrical trade

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data to make decisions; strong attention to detail and organization
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on interpersonal communication and collaboration
  • Curiosity about learning, with a desire for professional growth and development, eager to take on new challenges and responsibilities
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously, maintaining focus and delivering results under tight deadlines
  • Prior professional experience in an early-stage startup environment
  • Prior field operations experience with a distributed trade and/or service delivery workforce


This position is ideally based in Chicago; Treehouse may consider candidates based in Denver, with a potential to be based remotely.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 annually. This is a good faith estimate of what Treehouse may pay for a new hire; actual pay may vary based on prevailing wages in geographic location and a candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience, education, certifications, and ability to meet required job qualifications.
