What You'll Do:
- Conduct comprehensive consultations and examinations for patients with blood disorders and cancer.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies (as applicable).
- Manage patient care throughout their treatment journey, both in the clinic and inpatient setting.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to monitor patient progress and response to treatment.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with other specialists (e.g., surgeons, radiation oncologists) to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in the Cerner electronic health record system.
Who You Are:
- Board-certified in Internal Medicine with a subspecialty fellowship in Hematology and Oncology.
- Current and active license to practice medicine in Wisconsin (WI).
- Strong clinical skills and experience in diagnosing and managing a wide range of hematologic and oncologic conditions, including bone marrow biopsies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Proficient in Cerner electronic medical record system.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
