A "Day in the Life" of the Human Resources Director
The Human Resources Director is responsible for leading the organization's human resources function throughout the US. Taking the vision from the senior leadership team, they will execute that vision as a hands-on leader. This includes developing and implementing HR strategies, managing HR operations, and building a high-functioning team.
The Human Resources Director will grow with the company, and their role will evolve as the company does.
Core Tactics Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement the US HR strategy in alignment with global goals and the unique needs of the US market. Serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on organizational development, talent management, and workforce planning. Talent Acquisition & Management Lead US recruitment efforts to attract and retain a great team. Oversee onboarding processes to ensure seamless integration of new employees into the company culture. Design and implement performance management processes that align with company values and business objectives. Employee Engagement & Development
Cultivate a positive workplace culture that reflects the company's mission and values. Develop and deliver employee engagement and retention strategies tailored to the US team. Partner with global HR and US leadership to create and implement learning and development initiatives. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Serve as the HR subject matter expert for labor laws and HR policies in the US. Manage employee relations issues with professionalism and discretion. Compensation & Benefits Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs. Conduct market analyses to ensure pay structures and benefits packages are aligned with industry standards. Partner with global HR to align US compensation strategies with the company's overall philosophy. Additional hands-on and leadership responsibilities as necessary Characteristics of the Role
