Responsibilities
The LPN is directly responsible to the House Supervisor, RN for quality patient care provided to patients on the units.
Demonstrate knowledge, effectiveness and efficiency in providing nursing care.
Provide nursing care based on the patient's nursing care plan under the direction of the physician.
Observe patient behavior and notifies appropriate staff.
Assist in maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment that respects patient's rights.
Assist the physician with physical exams.
Assist with admissions, discharge, and transfer of patients.
Follows instructions outlined in the policies and procedures.
Completes rounds and observes precautions and documents.
Serves as a role model for patients.
Ensures that patients and families are oriented to the program.
Quality/Regulatory Compliance Coordinator monitors quality and regulatory compliance indictors monthly and report findings to Quality Council, Medical Staff, Medical Executive Committee and Board as required. Evaluates progress identifies negative trends and participates in problem resolution.
Serves as the facility resource for regulatory compliance requirements with JCAHO, TDMHDSAS, Department of Health, CMS and all other regulatory agencies. Maintains files including up-to-date regulations. Communicates to leadership changes as required.

Qualifications
Position Requirements:
* Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. * Current status as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Tennessee. * One (1) year of experience in psychiatric nursing preferred. * LPN must have credentials to direct physical management of the patient and have current CPR certification * Growth and development opportunities within UHS and its subsidiaries * Competitive Compensation
