Job Summary

Excellent opportunity to join a successful well-established wholesale insurance company looking to grow to the next level. The Technical Lead, Enterprise Data, drives, designs, develops, refines, and champions data models, architecture, strategies, and solutions to improve quality, value, and accessibility of our data. This role works to secure our enterprise data assets and plays a key role in data governance. A successful Technical Lead will seek out collaboration with key business leaders, subject matter experts, and other technical team members, to identify opportunities for enterprise data to support our strategic goals, guide strategic direction and set technical strategy for implementing these opportunities via an enterprise data roadmap.

Primary Responsibilities: Lead a team of data engineers and analysts to ensure the integration, availability, reliability, quality, security, and integrity of our enterprise data systems Provide strategic guidance and mentorship expertise, making data-architecture and design recommendations while establishing methodology, standards, and best practices for Data Management. Design, develop, optimize, and maintain efficient enterprise data system solutions including ETL pipelines and processes. Monitor, respond, and resolve enterprise data system and ETL job failures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams translating business requirements into technical design and execution plans Advocate for technologies, frameworks, design patterns, processes, and guiding values of the domain architecture. Ensure compliance with technology standards and best practices. Daily, weekly, monthly duties Secure our enterprise data and systems establishing data governance practices. Ensure alignment of enterprise data strategy and corporate security policies. Primary Skills & Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related subject and 4 - 6 years related experience and/or training; or seven plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years architecting enterprise database solutions. 7+ years of professional experience and a strong foundation in database design, modeling, and architecture. 3-5 years of experience with Snowflake - including model creation, data ingestion and administration. 7+ years End to End experience with ETL solutions. 4+ years of experience providing technical leadership to team members Experience with Azure DB, Azure Data Factory, and other Azure tooling a plus Experience with database administration a plus Experience with SQL hierarchies, insurance or XML is a plus.
