Position Summary:

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for supporting end users, back-end systems, and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to resolve problems efficiently. As the primary point of contact for support issues, this role will be visible throughout the organization and should have the ability and desire to positively impact both the IT department and the overall organization. Additionally, a strong focus on customer service is essential to ensure a positive experience for all users.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

These may include but are not limited to:

Provide comprehensive support for all employees and contingent workers, both in-house and remote. Respond promptly and professionally to incoming technical support requests.

Offer after-hours support for traveling users and those in various time zones.

Provision, configure, and maintain a range of equipment, including laptops, desktops, phones, mobile devices, audio/visual equipment, and assorted peripherals.

Utilize helpdesk software to track user incidents and requests.

Follow processes and procedures for managing the PC environment.

Actively participate in the IT department, contributing to technology initiatives such as system and network upgrades, office relocations, technology rollouts, and onsite meetings.

Track and manage assets, including desktop PCs, laptops, and peripheral equipment, overseeing their replacement, repair, and disposal.

Support all IT-related product and service activities and recommend improvements to enhance support capabilities.

Maintain Azure Active Directory (AD), including setting up new users, retiring old users, and managing security and mail groups.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT policies and procedures, adhering to company-wide standards.

Ensure compliance with Crinetics Cybersecurity guidelines.

Conduct user training sessions, focus on system rollouts and Cybersecurity best practices.

Research and evaluate new products as needed.

Be available for occasional on-call/after-hours emergency support

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is highly preferred

7 years technical support experience with demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service.

Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills. People skills are very important: candidate must be able to build positive relationships and relate well to end users.

Strong written communication skills, including ability to write and follow procedures.

Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, develop alternative solutions as necessary.

Resourceful and able to independently research and evaluate issues, products, etc.

Willingness to stay up to date with technology and be involved with continuous learning.

Preferred:

Administrative experience with some (but not all) of the systems below Windows 10 and Windows 11

MacOS and iOS

Anti-virus software

Logitech AV systems

MS Exchange/Office 365 administration/InTune MDM

MS SharePoint/MS Teams

Azure Active Directory Administration

Helpdesk/ Ticketing Software(ServiceNow or similar systems)

Network & Wireless support

Familiarity with basic networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, etc.)

Experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Physical Activities: On a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required. The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions and responsibilities of this job. Laboratory Activities (if applicable): Biology and chemical laboratory environment experience needed. Environmental health and safety requirements also apply.

Travel:

You may be required to travel for up to 5% of your time.

The Anticipated Base Salary Range: $31.15-$38.94

The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience and education.
