Java Developer with Cloud

Job Summary We are seeking a backend Sr. Developer with 8 to 12 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in ava back end dev with Java aws Postgres dynamo db spring boot and Kafka The work model is hybrid with no travel required and day shifts. Responsibilities Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using ava back end dev with Java aws Postgres dynamo db spring boot and Kafka. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and efficient software architectures. Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of applications by conducting thorough testing and debugging. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software development lifecycle and improve deployment efficiency. Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements translating them into technical specifications. Monitor and optimize application performance identifying and resolving bottlenecks and performance issues. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies incorporating them into the development process as appropriate. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for software designs code and processes. Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards throughout the development lifecycle. Collaborate with DevOps teams to manage and maintain cloud infrastructure ensuring high availability and scalability. Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes tools and methodologies. Qualifications Possess strong technical skills in AWS EC2 Spring Boot Microservices Dynamo DB J2EE and AWS IoT. Demonstrate extensive experience in Product Lifecycle Management and its application in software development. Exhibit excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Show proficiency in designing and implementing scalable and efficient software architectures. Have a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their role in the software development lifecycle. Display strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model. Maintain a proactive approach to learning and staying current with industry trends and technologies. Certifications Required AWS Certified Solutions Architect Certified Spring Professional Certified IoT Professional Salary and Other Compensation : The annual salary for this position is between $104 to 118K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
