Certified Veterinary Technician

Small Animal Veterinary Services is a brand new full-service small animal practice located in the center of Berks County Pennsylvania seeking to hire a licensed veterinary technician to join our team.  We are privately owned practice with 1 full time veterinarian and one part time veterinarian.  We focus on providing a family friendly environment for our clients and their pets.  We see dogs, cats, pot belly pigs and poultry.  Our services include:

• In-house laboratory diagnostics- HESKA
• Dentistry
• Internal medicine
• General surgery
• Digital Radiology- Cuattro
• Preventative Health Care
• End of Life Care

We have a team-based approach to practicing veterinary medicine.  All team members are valued and appreciated, and veterinary technicians are vital and play an integral role in both patient care and client satisfaction.  An ideal candidate must have a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and a willingness to work closely with others as a team.  A dedication to the compassionate care of our companion pets, as well as a demonstrated respect for their teammates and our clients is a must.

Responsibilities:

• Interacting with clients in person and on the phone
• Ability to navigate a computer we use Ezyvet software
• Small Animal Care 
• Animal Restraint
• Assisting doctors in appointments
• Collect and document patient history from clients
• Client education
• Assist in diagnostic workups
• Place IV catheters
• Administer vaccines and or medications
• Surgical induction, anaesthetic monitoring, patient recovery
• Dental radiographs, dental charting, scaling and polishing
• Must be able to multitask and work comfortably in a a fast-paced environment

Full-Time position preferred but Part-Time position will be considered.  We are open 5 days a week.  Monday Wednesday Friday we are open from 9-5 pm. Tuesdays and Thursdays we are open from 9-7 pm.  Come join our brand new clinic and grow with us!
