Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Accounting Senior Manager to join our team at Bolling AFB, Washington, D.C.

Accounting Senior Manager

Individual will be a key member of a team performing DoD Agency Accounting Operations services for the United States Government. Position entails recording and reconciling accounting activities, resolving audit findings, introducing & performing new processes, real-time collaboration on issues with an experienced team, and analyzing & researching data issues using analytical tools such as Structured Query Language (SQL) queries.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform day-to-day cradle to grave accounts receivable tasks which includes collection efforts
  2. Analyzing trading partner agreements
  3. Processing no check drawn collection and charges to Department of Defense trading partners
  4. Monitoring earned revenue to actual performing expenditures
  5. Review and process adjustment transactions for unearned revenue against canceling appropriations
  6. Reconciliation of Interagency Payment transactions received and sent
  7. Processing collection vouchers for payments received for Incoming Customer Orders
  8. Processing collection vouchers for contract refunds received from vendors
  9. Processing accounts payable transactions for incoming customer order transactions
  10. Process and reconcile the monthly distribution of interest penalty payments
  11. Record obligation documents against previously established Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs)
  12. Record accounts payable transactions from requests received from outside organizations
  13. Assist with maintenance of the desktop procedures (Standard Operating Procedures). Must include keeping SOPs current and testing the procedures to ensure the procedures are understandable and complete.
  14. Assist in the documentation and monitoring of Audit discrepancies and the resolution through the Corrective Action Plan process.
  15. Assist with the early start of the annual close of commitment documents, excess expiring/expired performing budget authority, and unearned revenue
  16. Perform system configuration and analysis for new DoD organization implementations
  17. Performing basic Structured Query Language (SQL) queries against accounting system data tables and journal entries
  18. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members

Basic Qualifications:

  1. 6+ years of DoD accounting processing
  2. 4 Year Degree or 6 Additional Years of Experience
  3. Must have a current/active Secret Clearance, JAFAN eligible

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with Momentum Financial Software
  2. 2+ Years of Experience with Special Access Programs or SCI Programs
  3. Experience running SQL Queries

Other Requirements:

  1. Expected work week: 40 hours
  2. Preferred work hours: 8:00-16:00 Monday – Friday
  3. Anticipate extended hours from 15 Aug – 10 Oct each year for the purpose of the Annual Fiscal Year closeout process.
  4. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel)

Physical Requirements:

  1. Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
  2. Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
  3. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery

The projected compensation range for this position is $135,300.00-$226,400.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
