Job Summary
The Director of Operations is accountable for managing the daily operations and strategic planning of enrichment programs designed for pre-K through 5th-grade students. A primary focus of this role is financial oversight, ensuring the effective management of program delivery while implementing and refining operational systems. The Director will be responsible for ensuring that programs are executed efficiently, resources are utilized optimally, and robust systems are established to support both ongoing operations and future expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Management:
Working with the National Director of Curriculum and Training to ensure to help implement, and continually improve enrichment programs that cater to the needs of pre-K through 5th grade students. - Financial Oversight:
Develop and manage budgets, including forecasting, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring cost-effective resource use.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, address discrepancies, and support strategic financial planning.
In conjunction with financial leadership, prepare financial reports and provide insights to senior management regarding program profitability and financial performance. - Systems Implementation and Optimization:
Oversee the implementation and integration of operational systems and technologies to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
Evaluate and select software and tools that support program management, data tracking, and reporting.
Train staff on new systems and ensure effective use across the organization. - Staff Supervision and Development:
Be part of the team that recruits, onboard, and manages program staff, including educators, coordinators, and administrative personnel.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide professional development opportunities, and foster a positive work environment.
Address staffing issues, provide mentorship, and support team collaboration. - Operational Oversight:
Ensure smooth daily operations of enrichment programs, including scheduling, facility management, and logistical coordination.
Develop and enforce policies and procedures related to health, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Monitor program delivery to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices. - Stakeholder Communication:
Act as the primary liaison between the company, parents, guardians, and community partners.
Address and resolve inquiries, concerns, and feedback from stakeholders in a timely and effective manner.
Maintain strong relationships with schools and community organizations to support program outreach and collaboration. - Quality Assurance:
Establish and maintain quality assurance processes to evaluate and enhance program effectiveness.
Collect and analyze feedback from participants, parents, and staff to drive continuous improvement.
Prepare and present detailed reports on program performance and outcomes to senior management. - Strategic Planning:
Contribute to the development of strategic initiatives and long-term goals for program growth and enhancement.
Identify opportunities for program expansion, partnerships, and innovation.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to ensure programs remain competitive and effective.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, including financial oversight and systems implementation, preferably within an educational or enrichment program context.
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage teams and drive organizational goals.
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and resource management.
- Experience with operational systems and technology implementation.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of educational standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices for enrichment programs.
