About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Shag Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet, managing trailer movements, and assisting with material transfers between our satellite warehouses and plants. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily truck and trailer inspections to ensure all vehicles are in optimal condition.
  • Transfer loads between satellite warehouses/plants (shagging) and track all trailer movements in the log.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the tractor, both inside and out.
  • Safely load bulk tankers and operate silos to load pellets as needed.
  • Be available for overtime during high-production periods, such as changeovers.
  • Complete all assigned shag movements and manage lot logistics.
  • Step in to cover the truck scale duties if necessary.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support team goals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
  • A valid CDL-A license is required.
  • Strong focus on safety and efficiency in completing fleet-related tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to think logically to solve problems.
  • Ability to understand and manage complex logistics operations.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Flexibility to work Saturdays when needed.
