Relig Staffing Inc is hiring: RN Operating Room in Washington

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at The George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities:

• Perform scrubbing and/or circulating duties for various operative procedures.
• Prepare the operating room for patients and surgical procedures, ensuring equipment is functional and supplies/implants are readily available.
• Adhere to appropriate aseptic techniques and maintain surgical standards.
• Coordinate with the surgical team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care.
• Act as a communication liaison for patients, families, and members of the surgical team.
• Monitor and maintain patient safety throughout surgical procedures.
• Assemble, manage, and troubleshoot surgical equipment as required.
• Provide thorough documentation of patient care and surgical activities.

Requirements:

• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Active DC RN license.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

• Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in operating room procedures and patient care.
  • Familiarity with aseptic techniques and surgical equipment.

• Skills:

  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations effectively.

  • The George Washington University Hospital, 900 23rd Street NW, Washington, DC, 20037.

• Shift:

  • 8-hour Day Shift (Sunday start).
  • 40 hours per week.

• Contingent Type: Healthcare (Travel Nurse).

• Duration: 13 Weeks

• Travel Restriction: Candidates must reside 50+ miles away from the facility.
