Triple Crown Sports is seeking a dedicated Sports Data & Performance Science Analyst to join our team. This hybrid role blends lab/field analysis and data analytics, providing crucial insights to athletes, teams, and coaching staff for performance improvement and injury prevention. You will manage and analyze data from various systems, create tools for college consulting, and provide valuable feedback based on in-game statistics.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Work throughout the data analysis pipeline (data collection, cleaning, filtering, modeling, and interpretation) for all performance science related projects.

- Develop, maintain, and debug code for Triple Crown performance science platforms.
- Help develop/improve data collection protocols for current and new assessments.
- Identify best practices to report current data and results from assessments.
- Collaborate with college coaches to connect sport science and strength & conditioning to on field performance.
- Aid in the statistical analysis and modeling of sport-related data.
- Assist in creating, developing, testing, and maintaining specialized data collection systems and tools.
- Create efficient tools and processes to support internal staff operations.
- Provide interpretation insights to the internal team, identifying potential growth/ optimization opportunities.
- Evaluate and interpret in-game statistics to help optimize performance strategies.
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in sports analytics, data analysis, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in data analysis software (such as R, Python, or SQL).
- Strong ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Demonstrated knowledge of diamond sport-specific data and advanced statistical methods
- Knowledge of sports performance metrics and injury prevention methods.
- Highly motivated with a keen eye for detail.
- Familiarity with high-tech systems such as 3D Motion Capture, Force Plates, Edgertronic High-Speed Cameras, and TrackMan for athlete performance analysis.
- Expertise in in-game statistics analysis for sports such as baseball, softball, volleyball, or similar.
- Experience working in a lab/field setting related to athletic performance, especially within data-driven environments.
- Some evening, weekend, and holiday hours are required, as dictated by the seasonality of event schedule.
