Senior software engineer

Senior Software Engineer - Global Prop Shop - Chicago/New York - Up to $850k TC.

An established prop shop is expanding its global options coverage. This follows a multi-year investment in their HFT Trading systems which are now capable of single digit nano tick-to-trade latency.

The team comes from all of the top firms, including Jane Street, Optiver, IMC and CitSec.

They have 3 teams that they are looking to hire Engineers into from inside and outside of finance, covering market connectivity, ultra-low latency execution strategy development and more.

Role:

1. Development of end-to-end latency-sensitive systems, ensuring maximum reliability/uptime.
2. Working collaboratively with end users (Quants, Traders, Strategy Developers) to integrate algos into the trading system, as well as build custom tools, solutions and automation.
3. Code Optimisation, using advanced C++ features (concepts, coroutines, constexpr) to write efficient clean code as well as performance profiling and optimising memory usage.

Requirements:

1. Excellent C++ 20/23 skills with good knowledge of templates, and compile-time metaprogramming.
2. Good knowledge of Cache and Memory optimisation.
3. Ideally some understanding of Networking and Market Data Feeds.
4. Previous experience with common C++ libraries (Boost, ZeroMQ etc.).
5. Excellent communication skills.
