Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Chicago, IL, is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney with over 10 years of legal practice. The successful candidate will be pivotal in managing complex commercial litigation cases, providing strategic legal advice, and contributing to the firm's growth.

Duties:

1. Handle a diverse caseload of complex commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution.
2. Conduct legal research, analyze legal issues, and provide sound legal advice to clients.
3. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
4. Manage discovery, including document production, depositions, and related tasks.
5. Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
6. Supervise junior attorneys and legal support staff on litigation matters.
7. Collaborate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes.

Requirements:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
2. Active membership in good standing with the Illinois State Bar.
3. Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial litigation.
4. Proven track record of successfully handling complex commercial litigation cases.
5. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
6. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.
8. Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.

Education:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
