Profile:

A law firm in San Francisco is seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level Financial Services Associate Attorney to assist with all aspects of litigation, with a primary focus on financial services clients. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in financial services litigation, strong writing and research skills, and a proven track record in handling complex legal matters. Candidates with court experience and those who have served as judicial law clerks are strongly encouraged to apply. Admission to the California Bar is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent financial services clients in litigation, including commercial disputes, regulatory matters, and class actions.
  • Conduct legal research, draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Participate in all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and trial.
  • Appear in court for hearings, oral arguments, and other proceedings.
  • Advise clients on legal risks and business strategies related to financial services litigation.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal teams on case strategy and development.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state financial regulations.
  • Maintain detailed case files and legal documentation.
  • Mentor junior associates and contribute to team development.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4-7 years of litigation experience in the financial services industry.
  • Strong background in financial services litigation, including experience with regulatory bodies and compliance issues.
  • Proven court experience, including the ability to argue motions and attend hearings.
  • Judicial clerkship experience is considered a plus.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex cases and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic credentials are required.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California Bar is required.
