Title: Cyber Security Program Manager Location: Houston, TX- 3 days hybrid Duration: Contract (Long-Term, potential to convert) Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S. Cyber Security Program ManagerRole: We need a program manager to take the complex NIST 800-171R2 / R3 set of controls and requirements aligned to DFARS 252.204-7012,20,21 and the FAR Clause 52.204-21 in alignment with government contracts and build out, lead, and manage our program around it and the entire security program, driving assessment, risk management, SPRS scores, and ultimately achieving the following goals: Self-attestation of DFARS 252.204-7012, FAR 52.204-21 with POAM in 2025 Self-attestation of DFARS 252.204-7012, FAR 52.204-21 closing all but 1-5 POAMs in 2025 CMMC Certification L2 in 2025 CMMC Certification L2 in Q4 2025 – Q1 2026 To do this, the individual must be able to work through many project managers across multiple organizations to ensure delivery in scope and in compliance, while allowing each PM to administer their project appropriately within their scope of work with their organization. Simultaneously, this program leader must also be able to build a governance model that takes the broad, complex legal, regulatory, global, contractual and compliance needs across the whole of the company and work across Ethics and Compliance, Trade Compliance, Legal and the business to drive the development of policies, standards, architectures and procedures by which company plans to meet those complex needs. This governance team must act as a bridge between those complexities and the executing teams which need simplicity and direction to comply. Required skills: Senior-level program management (agile or waterfall, preferably understanding and ability to lead project managers in a matrix organization across both) Organizational strategy, organizational agility, and strong leadership/collaboration skills C-Suite, SVP, VP and Director-level relationship building and maintenance The ability to mentor and develop other project managers The ability to influence up, across and down in an organization The ability to take a complex set of tasks, projects, programs and strategies and align them into a roadmap, dealing with all constraints, dependencies, and risks and coalesce them into a functioning program Strong presentation skills and the executive presence to go with it (presentation to C-Suite) Ability to work with leadership and an organizational change management capability to drive organizational change Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and non-verbal) Background: 10 years of project/program management, with increasing responsibility and a history of major projects and programs ($10-$50m USD) Background in a strongly regulated industry is helpful but not required. Familiarity in implementing control frameworks in a complex mid-to-large sized company Some background in infrastructure or software development will be helpful for context, but not 100% necessary Management or leadership experience helpful but not required CISSP, CISM, CISA or other certification strongly preferred or relevant work experience CMMC Certified Professional or CMMC Certified Auditor are both desired but not required Experience with implementing any of the following control frameworks will be considered – ISO27001, SOC2, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, COBIT College degree or equivalent work experience Must be a US Citizen Must be able to work 3 days a week in the office in Spring, Tx.
