As a Vice President in the Middle Market Banking Specialized Industries Credit Risk team, you will collaborate with a diverse team to deliver credit solutions that cater to a variety of needs, including working capital, general corporate purposes, acquisition finance, and dividend recapitalizations. Your role will involve working with privately owned businesses, financial sponsors, and some publicly traded companies, with credit executions ranging from bilateral structures to syndicated finance bank market and institutional investor transactions. A crucial aspect of your role will be to develop a comprehensive understanding of the business, financial, competitive, and industry risks faced by clients in your assigned portfolio. This knowledge will enable you to accurately risk grade borrowers, analyze credit requests, structure credit facilities, and negotiate credit agreements and other loan documentation. The Vice President is also responsible for on-going monitoring and risk management of an assigned portfolio of credit clients. This risk management position supports the Middle Market Banking Group which covers companies generally between $20 million and $500 million in revenues across a wide variety of industries. Job Responsibilities

Manage all steps of the Credit Approval Process including preparing credit approval materials, ensuring all credit risk policies are followed, and present and recommend credits for approval at the appropriate level. Utilize excellent credit analysis and financial modeling skills to underwrite and structure new transactions and work independently on the assigned credit portfolio. Appropriately assess risks / mitigants, balance risk / reward, diligently manage renewals, amendments and new transactions as well as maintain acceptable credit reporting metrics. Provide early identification and proactive management of deteriorating credits and other problem situations. Form well thought out, independent views and be able to voice your opinion in a clear, concise manner and to defend that position with partners and senior leadership. Lead complex transactions including negotiations and legal documentation for bilateral and syndicated finance structures. Evaluate smaller relationships to evaluate risk profile and recommend structures that adequately protect the bank. Work proactively, in a constructive, diplomatic manner, with both internal and external contacts to keep transactions moving. Act with a sense of urgency and drive execution to meet both internal and client deadlines. Partner effectively to develop fulsome client relationships, including being looked to as an expert on Structuring and Credit Policy and will be viewed as the "go-to" person for credit by both internal partners and clients. Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

BA/BS/BBA degree and completion of a major corporate or commercial bank credit training program (or the equivalent corporate banking/corporate finance experience) At least 6+ years of experience in commercial banking/lending including extensive credit analysis, structuring and loan documentation experience Ability to develop and articulate a dynamic, forward-looking risk assessment of client companies, transactions, market threats, and industry and other factors Significant accounting and finance knowledge and superior financial modeling skills Strong working knowledge of credit agreements and other loan documentation along with solid negotiation skills Demonstrated excellent verbal and written skills, interpersonal skills, and analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational and project management skills; able to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines Proven ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships.
