Dental Assistant Description

The Dental Assistant is responsible for providing dental care to patients in a public health setting. Our Dental Assistants work in a mobile setting and start their day at our Westborough office and then commute in the company vehicle to assisted living facilities, skilled nursing homes, memory care facilities, group homes, independent living facilities, and more. This position works under the supervision of a dentist and is responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

  • Preparing patients for dental procedures
  • Driving the company's mobile dental equipment from our Westborough office to the scheduled location
  • Taking and developing dental X-rays
  • Cleaning and polishing teeth
  • Applying fluoride treatments
  • Instructing patients on oral hygiene
  • Maintaining dental records

Dental Assistant Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Dental Assistant Trained on the Job (OJT), Certified Dental Assistant (CDA), Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), Formally Trained Dental Assistant (FTDA), or Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA)
  • At least one year of experience working in a dental setting (preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • State Driver's License and clean driving record

Dental Assistant Summary:

  • Position-Type and Schedule: Full-Time, 4 10-hour shifts per week
  • Rate: $32.00-$35.00/hr (Based on experience and negotiable)

  • Special Requirements: COVID-19 vaccinations (or) A Valid exemption, Willing to drive a minivan, Valid driver's license, Clean Driving Record
