Dental Assistant
The Dental Assistant performs duties such as: preparing the patient for treatment, assisting the dentist and/or dental hygienist in performing their treatment to the patient, preparing materials and equipment for treatment, and having them ready for the dentist's use, takes x-rays and assists the dentist in laboratory work. Assists in the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date dental records for each clinic patient. May perform other related work including, but not limited to, making appointments, answering the phone, ordering supplies, and assisting with information needed for dental billing.
Skills and Experience:
This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, no weekends, or holidays.
We offer a competitive salary starting at $19.00 per hour based on experience, and benefits package including Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance, a matching retirement plan, Employee Assistance Program, 11 paid holidays and generous PTO.

Neighborhood Health Association (NHA), a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is the largest community health center system in Northwest Ohio with partnerships that include ProMedica, Mercy Health, and University of Toledo Medical Center. Skills and Experience:
- Must have graduated from a Dental Assistant Program.
- One (1) year Dental Assistant experience highly preferred.
- Must have valid and current radiography license.
- EMR proficient, and/or ability to learn EMR.
- Current certification in CPR, or take on-site class within 30 days of employment.
- Ability to work on a team in a challenging, fast paced environment.
- Effective organizational, communication, writing and listening skills.
- Must be sensitive to cultural, religious, and ethnic diversity.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Shows initiative and ability to use sound judgement in absence of specific orders.
- Must be well-organized, detail oriented and use time wisely.
