Job Title: Travel PhlebotomistJob OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel Phlebotomist to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality phlebotomy services in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and laboratories across different locations. As a traveling phlebotomist, you will have the opportunity to work in diverse environments while ensuring the safe and effective collection of blood specimens from patients.Key ResponsibilitiesBlood Collection: Perform venipunctures and capillary draws to obtain blood specimens, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process.Sample Handling: Properly label, document, and handle blood samples for testing, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety protocols.Patient Interaction: Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and addressing concerns to minimize anxiety and ensure a positive experience.Quality Assurance: Adhere to quality control measures and maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area to ensure optimal safety and efficiency.Collaboration: Work closely with laboratory staff, nurses, and healthcare providers to ensure the timely processing and reporting of laboratory results.Regulatory Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, HIPAA regulations, and laboratory policies to ensure compliance and maintain patient confidentiality.Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that phlebotomy equipment and supplies are properly maintained, stocked, and calibrated as needed.QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a phlebotomy training program is preferred.Certification: Certification as a Phlebotomist (e.g., from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or National Phlebotomy Association (NPA)) is preferred.Experience: Previous experience as a phlebotomist in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds.Flexibility: Willingness to travel to various locations and adapt to different healthcare environments and practices.
