APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Responsible for the development and design of hardware for future Apple Home products. Research and develop new Homelabs technology. Create circuit design and flex design of embedded system. Responsible for integration that involves electrical, mechanical, software, controls, safety and manufacturing systems. Validate circuit behavior and characterize system performance. Prototyping proof of concept, supervising PCB layout design, documenting test procedures. International Travel required 15%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 - $264,200/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.PAY & BENEFITS: Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:
- Schematic capture and PCB layout tools;
- Designing low power, embedded digital, analog and power electronic circuits and systems;
- Implementing system integration for various hardware technologies with microcontrollers, and FPGA;
- Circuit design and integration of actuation systems including inverters, encoders, braking circuits
- Designing and validating power integrity and peripheral communication interfaces including SPI, I2C, UART, LVDS, or BISS;
- Performing failure analysis and hardware debug to solve complex technical issues that arise during hardware development;
- Using lab equipment including high speed oscilloscopes, DMM's, TDM, or logic analyzer to take accurate and high quality measurements;
- Generating functional and test specifications.
