Job Summary:
PSQ Productions is seeking an experienced Accounting Coordinator to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, be proficient in QuickBooks Online, and possess moderate Excel skills, especially in pivot tables. As an Accounting Coordinator at PSQ Productions, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and accuracy of our company's financial records and assist the Director of Finance in generating financial reports, most of which are project-based and integral to the events produced by PSQ Productions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for PSQ Productions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- QuickBooks Online: Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and support in preparing financial reports. Ensure consistency and accuracy in financial data.
- Expense Management: Track and categorize expenses related to events, such as equipment rental, catering, and travel, ensuring they are properly allocated in the accounting system.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile monthly bank statements and credit card statements to verify the accuracy of financial data.
- Excel Proficiency: Utilize moderate Excel skills, particularly in pivot tables, to analyze financial data and assist in the presentation of project-based reports.
- Vendor Contracts & Insurance Compliance: Coordinate new and recurring vendor contracts to ensure that contracts are completed in a timely manner. Ensure that vendor insurance is obtained and remains in compliance. Proactively reach out to vendors for updated insurance prior to the expiration date to maintain coverage.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and maintain data accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a staff accountant or admin, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Enterprise and moderate Excel skills, including pivot tables.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of event production or entertainment industry accounting practices is a plus.
Pay Scale:
$70,000 to $75,000, plus benefits.
