Salary: $70,000 - 85,000/year

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Manufacturing Production Supervisor to lead our plastics production team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical manufacturing and hands-on experience with automated systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). This role involves overseeing day-to-day production operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, quality, and compliance with company standards. The Manufacturing Production Supervisor will lead a team of associates and ensure that production targets are met while maintaining a high standard of operational excellence.

• Supervise Production Operations:
• Oversee the daily operations of the plastics production process, including machinery setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Direct and coordinate the activities of production associates, providing leadership, guidance, and training as needed.
• Monitor production performance, addressing any issues promptly to avoid delays or downtime.
• Team Leadership & Development:
• Lead and motivate a team of manufacturing associates, ensuring that they are properly trained in production processes, safety procedures, and equipment operation.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and recommend development opportunities.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Process Improvement & Optimization:
• Analyze production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to implement process improvements that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Develop and implement corrective actions for any identified production inefficiencies or quality issues.
• PLC & Automation Management:
• Ensure that automated systems, including PLC-controlled machines, are operating correctly and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot PLC issues and work closely with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve technical problems.
• Ensure proper calibration and configuration of production equipment and automated systems.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong background in plastics production or chemical manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on experience with automated systems, particularly Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• Proven track record of leading production teams, meeting targets, and driving process improvements.
