This is a full-time position (not temp). We are seeking a 3rd Shift Sanitation Worker on our production line to ensure the deep cleaning and sanitizing of the equipment, facility buildings, and grounds including off-site offices and parking. The starting pay for this position is $15.50/hour.

What You'll Do:

  • Ensure the safety and legality of food.
  • Perform basic calculations and follow written procedures.
  • Must be a responsible individual capable of working with little supervision.
  • Must keep a clean and sanitary work area.
  • You will need to operate floor scrubbers, pressure washers, dispense cleaning chemicals.
  • Must be able to operate manual pallet jacks.
  • Able to work with and motivate other team members.
  • Transport trash and waste to disposal area daily.
  • Ensure all assigned equipment is properly cleaned, sanitized and ready for production use.
  • Assist others in cleaning of equipment for improved productivity.
  • Make sure sanitation equipment is clean and properly put up in chemical room.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee will encounter noise level moderate to loud and work in wet, humid and cold conditions.
  • Must be able to complete all other duties assigned by leads and management.
  • Be willing and able to assist with coverage in the absence of another Sanitation associate.
  • Must be able to work additional hours or beyond standard schedule with little or no notice.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned by a Lead, Supervisor or Manager.
  • Perform other duties assigned as required.

What We Need from You:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in Food Service and/or Manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Active awareness of all safety protocols.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Use all required PPE (Proper Protective Equipment).
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings to ensure safety of others and product.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that involves repetitive movement, moderate to loud noise levels, and wet, humid, and cold conditions under various temperatures ranging from 45 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Must understand the SDS sheet on chemicals.
  • Understand and follow Color Code, especially regarding cleaning implements.
  • Follow GMP’s at all times. (Wear hairnets, clean uniform, gloves, etc.)
  • Ability to stand for at least an 8-12 hour period; lift, carry, handle and grasp at least 35-50 lbs; push and pull a wheeled pallet jack or rack to move items weighing up to 400 lbs.
