We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in the Engineering Industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to apply their knowledge and skills in machine design, process engineering, AutoCAD, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role and a proven track record of success in the field. This role requires a highly motivated individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and is committed to excellence in every aspect of their work.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing systems and processes using your knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, tooling, production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
2. Designing and implementing complex manufacturing processes and equipment using AutoCAD, ensuring that all processes are efficient, cost-effective, and meet all relevant safety standards.
3. Using your expertise in process engineering to identify and implement process improvements, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
4. Applying principles of continuous improvement to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
5. Collaborating with design engineering and other functions to finalize product specifications, resolve manufacturing issues, and achieve project objectives.
6. Conducting root cause analysis of manufacturing issues to prevent reoccurrence and improve overall production efficiency.
7. Training and guiding production personnel on new processes and equipment to ensure smooth implementation and adherence to quality standards.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Manufacturing Engineer position will have the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on machine design, process engineering, and continuous improvement.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design and manufacturing software.
4. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
5. Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements and cost reductions.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve manufacturing and process issues.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.
8. Self-motivated and driven, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
9. Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or a similar continuous improvement methodology is highly desirable.
10. Must be legally authorized to work in the country without the need for sponsorship.
