Job Details: We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Associate Attorney specializing in architect + engineering to join our fast-paced legal team. The successful candidate will be a critical part of our team, working on complex construction and professional liability cases. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a challenging and collaborative environment, where your expertise and innovative approach to problem-solving will be highly valued.
Responsibilities: Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on matters related to engineering and construction, including professional liability and construction defects. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute lawsuits. Prepare and draft legal documents, such as contracts, deeds, and other legal briefs. Conduct legal research and analysis of law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes to prepare legal arguments, applications, declarations, and motions. Review and manage client and project documentation, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and minimizing potential legal risks. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in the areas of construction defect and professional liability. Maintain awareness and understanding of the latest developments in the laws, regulations, and trends affecting the construction and engineering industry to provide the most effective advice and strategy to our clients.
Qualifications: Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school. Must be licensed to practice law and in good standing. A minimum of 4-8 years of experience as an attorney, specifically in the areas of construction, professional liability, and construction defect. Exceptional knowledge of construction and engineering industry standards, regulations, and laws. Proven ability to manage multiple clients and cases simultaneously. Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and advocacy skills. Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills to interpret complex legal documents and formulate legal strategy. Excellent written and oral communication skills. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
