Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of construction defect litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, trial preparation, and trial execution. 2. Provide legal advice and guidance on construction defect matters to ensure the company is legally protected. 3. Analyze insurance policies to determine the extent of the insurer's liability. 4. Negotiate settlements for legal disputes on terms favorable to the company. 5. Collaborate with the legal team and other departments to develop effective strategies and solutions. 6. Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, discovery, and briefs. 7. Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in construction defect law and insurance coverage. 8. Represent the company in court and before government agencies, if necessary.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. 2. Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with the state bar. 3. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Defect Attorney. 4. Proven experience in handling construction defect cases and insurance coverage. 5. Excellent negotiation, communication, and advocacy skills. 6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 7. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. 8. Proficient in legal research and writing. 9. High degree of professional ethics and integrity. 10. Knowledge of construction laws, regulations, and industry standards. 11. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement legal strategies that align with business objectives.
