Job Details
We are looking for an Attorney to assist in handling estates, trusts, wills, and elder law cases for a rapidly growing practice area within our firm. Candidates will be mentored by a senior Certified Elder Law Attorney with many years of experience and collaborate with a team of other elder law attorneys and paralegals as well.
Responsibilities: Meet with potential clients to discuss the legal services provided by the firm and offer advice on appropriate legal actions. Draft legal documents, research laws, and organize meetings with clients to establish their future plans. Accurately record and report time spent on hourly rate and flat fee cases promptly. Travel to various offices within neighboring counties as necessary.
Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in estate law. Admitted to practice in North Carolina is required. (Bonus points for candidates admitted to South Carolina too.) Experience in estate planning, trust/estate administration, Medicaid planning, and/or long-term care benefits. Litigation experience in handling guardianship and estate litigation cases. Ability to efficiently track and bill time. Strong work ethic and the initiative to complete tasks independently.
