Warehouse Team Lead $20 Job at Micro Tech Staffing - CT in Shelton

Come join a company that has been around for more than 35 years and work in a state of the art facility. One of our clients who is a leading global supplier of aerospace and automotive parts is looking to add an experienced warehouse team lead to their team.

This is a 1st shift position with hours ranging from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for relaying information to all levels of management regarding issues of material damage, shortages, transaction errors, etc. and providing solutions to ensure material quality and availability.
• Coordinate inventory transfers with related departments; deliver or route materials and supplies to departments as well as general production areas
• Ensure inventory accuracy and efficiency and that inventory levels are maintained by conducting weekly and/or monthly physical counts reconciling variances and input data.
• Assist supervisor with overseeing and directing the activities of warehouse employees by helping to train and communicate job expectations.

Experience:
• Must have one (1) to two (2) years’ experience working in a warehouse in a manufacturing environment and inventory control.
• Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of hands-on experience in a team leader position working in a warehouse manufacturing environment.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a timely manner to ensure service production areas and internal customers.
• Must have experience and/or the ability to operate a forklift and operate other material handling equipment.
• Must be able to climb up to ten (10) feet to issue and/or put away material, count and verify inventory.
• Must have good basic math skills and the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Must be proficient with computers and demonstrated skills in office applications such as MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
