Responsibilities:
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are critical to the smooth operation of our financial department. These include:
1. Managing daily deposits and ensuring all payments are accurately recorded and processed. 2. Making daily invoice adjustments to correct any discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records. 3. Conducting daily follow-ups with vendors on past due invoices to expedite payment and maintain good vendor relationships. 4. Generating bi-weekly AR aging reports to provide a clear and accurate picture of our financial standing. 5. Performing other duties as assigned to support the overall function of the accounting department. 6. Serving as a backup for shipping clerks, demonstrating flexibility and a team-oriented attitude.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this exciting role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role, preferably within a food processing or manufacturing industry. 2. Expertise in handling daily deposits, invoice adjustments, and vendor follow-ups. 3. Proven ability to generate accurate AR aging reports. 4. Demonstrated experience in performing a range of accounting duties. 5. Experience in a shipping clerk role or similar would be advantageous. 6. Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all work. 7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage vendor relationships effectively. 8. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. 9. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
