Our prestigious legal firm is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile cases, providing crucial support to our attorneys in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in the legal field, with a strong emphasis on litigation. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation cases from onset through post trial. 2. Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research, and initial case assessments. 3. Review and draft litigation documents including pleadings, discovery, and motions. 4. Manage and organize large volumes of complex case-related documents, and compile them into reports for attorneys, courts, and other parties. 5. Coordinate and manage routine case management activities, including discovery, depositions, mediations, and trials. 6. Act as a liaison between the trial team and third parties such as witnesses, clients, vendors, experts, and court personnel. 7. Maintain case management system by updating court deadlines, discovery deadlines, and task assignments. 8. Assist in deposition preparation, pre-trial investigations, trial preparation, including assistance with preparation of witnesses for deposition and/or trial. 9. Prepare exhibits and other demonstrative evidence for use at trial.
Qualifications:
1. 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience. 2. Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program. 3. Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy. 4. Advanced knowledge of legal principles and practices, legal research techniques, and legal terminology. 5. Proficient in e-discovery and case management software, as well as MS Office suite. 6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts and procedures. 7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 8. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate attorney needs and potential challenges. 9. Experience in drafting pleadings, discovery, and procedural motions. 10. Familiarity with the rules of civil procedure and evidence.
