We are actively recruiting for an experienced securities litigation and corporate governance paralegal to join our client's midtown Manhattan offices. The position is with a nationally recognized firm that specializes in complex litigation for high-profile plaintiff securities fraud, corporate governance, and shareholders rights claims.
We are seeking candidates with 4+ years of cite-checking and Bluebook citation experience in a securities or commercial litigation practice. Plaintiff experience is strongly preferred. The incoming paralegal will have a engaging litigation responsibilities within the firm's corporate governance practice group, a team with an exceptional track record of successful outcomes for increasing shareholder value, combatting unfair deals, and setting governance models for companies. Candidates with federal court filing and Delaware Chancery Court experience, strong attention to detail, legal research, and analytical skills are encouraged to apply. Core job responsibilities include:
Conduct legal research and analysis on securities laws and regulations using Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, and other legal research platforms Proofread and cite-check/fact-check briefs, complaints, and other documents Manage and organize case files and exhibits Prepare, finalize, and file court documents Organize and track case files, and maintain reference files Prepare for depositions, hearings, trials and /or client meetings Prepare client memoranda and reports, client retentions, and client development initiatives
