Job Details

We are seeking a HNW Tax Director to join our dynamic Public Accounting team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, estates, and privately held businesses. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing tax planning services, managing and developing relationships with clients, and enhancing the firm's reputation by ensuring clients receive the highest level of service.

Responsibilities:

As a HNW Tax Director, your duties will include but are not limited to:

1. Providing innovative tax planning strategies and compliance expertise to clients; managing and developing client relationships. 2. Supervising and reviewing high-net-worth federal and state income tax returns and collaborating with other team members on client engagements. 3. Researching tax laws and formulating tax strategies to optimize clients' financial situations. 4. Working closely with partners and staff on client management, practice development, and business development activities. 5. Providing leadership, counseling, career guidance, and performance feedback to staff. 6. Ensuring the firm stays updated with the latest industry trends and changes in tax legislation that could impact clients.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the HNW Tax Director role, you must have the following:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is strongly preferred. 2. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in public accounting or a family office dealing with high-net-worth clients. 3. An extensive understanding of tax laws, principles, and procedures, particularly those that apply to high-net-worth individuals and entities. 4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members. 5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. 6. Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships. 7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
