Job Details: We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Project Manager to join our Healthcare Construction team. This role is specifically for someone who has a deep understanding and experience in managing construction projects within the healthcare sector, particularly in the Free-Standing Emergency Room (FSER) field. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are executed within budget, on time, and in accordance with the highest quality standards. This is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary and benefits package, and an opportunity to make a significant impact in the healthcare construction industry.
Responsibilities: Oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of specific healthcare construction projects, particularly FSERs. Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner. Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis. Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary. Determine and assess the need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary during the project cycle. Negotiate with contractors and subcontractors. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths. Plan, schedule and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle. Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, specifically within the healthcare sector. Proven experience in managing FSER construction projects. Familiarity with construction management software. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to read blueprints and architectural diagrams. Knowledge of local, state, and federal construction and health regulations. Ability to anticipate and mitigate risk. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. PMP or equivalent certification would be an added advantage. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel as needed.
