Essential Job Functions:
- As a Quality Producibility Engineer, reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you'll ensure new products are manufacturable and lead improvements for existing products
- You'll be the quality technical authority on potential non-conformities, collaborating with Design, Manufacturing, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to enhance the manufacturing processes, improve product quality, and reduce costs
- Lead manufacturing: Collaborate with various teams to meet cost, delivery, and safety targets
- Issue Resolution: Quickly resolve issues during industrialization and production, ensuring root cause identification and corrective actions
- Technical Quality Packages: Deliver robust manufacturing technical packages and methods for production components
- High-Performance Culture: Champion continuous improvement within the team
- Concession Assessment: Assess internal/external concessions resulting in quality issues
- Lessons Learned: Integrate lessons learned into methods and designs to improve quality, cost, delivery, and lead time
- Production Support: Provide day-to-day quality support for manufacturing operations
- Familiarity with Quality, Industrialization, and Operations processes
- Experience with sheet metal parts, castings, complex machined parts, welded, and brazed fabrications
- Continuous improvement, root cause investigation, and lean techniques experience
- Experience with heat exchangers and pipework assemblies is desirable
- Successful delivery of projects focused on cost, delivery, and quality improvements.
Qualifications:
- Education: Engineering Degree or equivalent experience in engineering management or operations
- Previous roles as a Quality Engineer in aerospace, automotive, or industrial sectors
- Strong manufacturing engineering background with expertise in the design and definition of complex products
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Experience in product (cost, manufacture, maintenance, build)
- Proven technical and professional in a team of Engineers and manufacturing disciplines
- Experience in leading change across a business
- Practical experience in a production or supply chain facility in Manufacturing Engineering
- Experience in New Product Introduction, Industrialization, Production, and related processes
- Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Ability to work in office and shop floor environments
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
