Technical Sales Rep -West Coast The opportunity: Smurfit Westrock is a vertically integrated global manufacturer and designer of sustainable packaging materials, as well as a developer and integrator of innovative packaging machinery and automated systems. The Smurfit Westrock Box On Demand team focuses on a suite of technologies to help customers in fulfillment and industrial manufacturing environments right-size their packaging and automate the packaging process. The Technical Sales Representative is a dynamic consultative sales professional leveraging a highly technical background to deliver solutions to the customer and drive sales territory growth, while managing existing clients within the territory. A successful representative will be a results-focused individual who can create strategy around target opportunities, sales pipeline, and closing business that often includes the sale of capital equipment, machinery leases, raw material supply, and maintenance services. How you will impact WestRock: Develops new business prospects into viable opportunities Meets with potential clients and partners to understand their unique challenges Collaborates across the WestRock enterprise to prepare, coordinate, and conduct complex technical presentations to key decision makers Negotiates long term partnership agreements Ensures successful solution implementation with effective coordination of internal teams delivering the best solution to the customer Continues growing the business by managing difficult customer situations and forging strong partnerships Attends trade shows and represents WestRock Box On Demand products in the marketplace Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Driven to succeed: shows initiative and determination to drive results and thrives in a fast paced/high volume environment Proven aptitude for understanding manufacturing and fulfillment environments Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Exceptional presentation skills that captivate and engage Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Proficient user of Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and AutoCAD (highly preferred) Travel Requirements Willingness to travel extensively by air or car (50%) Territory: West Coast West Coast Candidate to reside in (CA, NV, AZ or UT) What you need to succeed: Required: Bachelor\u2019s Degree in business or engineering Required: 5 years of experience interfacing with customers in a sales environment Required: B2B sales experience, with a high technical background Required: Experience selling material handling industrial automation systems and components to industrial and manufacturing end users Preferred: Knowledge of Box on Demand robotics and packaging systems WestRock - Box On Demand is a revolutionary approach to sourcing corrugated packaging for companies that ship a complex and constantly shifting mix of products.
