DescriptionKforce has a client that is seeking a Lead Principal AI Software Engineer in San Diego, CA.Duties Include:* Lead Principal AI Software Engineer will lead the design, development, and implementation of tools and frameworks that enhance the developer experience* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address pain points in the development process* Drive the adoption of best practices and standards across the development team* Integrate AI and machine learning solutions to automate and optimize development workflows* Plan, introduce, drive, and measure AI-centric tool options for efficiency and accuracy gains* Align AI-assisted tool practices in software development with the overall AI strategy driven by VPs* Assist in defining, mapping, and producing important and development-useful KPI standards* Provide direction in standardizing and coaching proper SDLC environment flows and practices* As a Lead Principal AI Software Engineer, you will assist in developing proper and effective software engineering manager communication and techniques across the team* Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our development practices remain cutting-edge* Ensure that software development practices align with industry standards and best practices* Identify and propose new technologies, tools, and processes to improve efficiency and qualityRequirements* Proven experience as a Principal Software Engineer, Architect, Software Development Manager, or similar role* Strong expertise in software engineering, with a focus on improving developer experience* Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks* Experience with AI and machine learning technologies* Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges* Strong leadership and mentoring abilities* Excellent collaboration skills* Excellent verbal and written communication skills required* Highly organized and detail-oriented; Ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment required* Preferred experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices* Preferred experience in familiarity with cloud platforms and services* Preferred experience in knowledge of security best practices in software developmentJob TypeDirect HireCompensation170000 - $180000
