QC Analyst - Raw Material Chemistry

Description

Responsible for chemical evaluation of raw materials. Duties include performing QC assays and maintaining laboratory organization/cleanliness. Has knowledge of a wide variety of wet chemistry (TLC, ID testing, Bulk Gas Testing, Manual (Acid-Base, Complexiometric, Redox) Titrations, Common Gravimetric Tests (Insoluble Matter, Loss on Drying, Residue on Ignition), Limit Test, Heavy Metals, Arsenic, Specific Gravity, Potentiometric Titrations) and instrumentation analysis (pH, Conductivity, UV-Vis, Viscosity, Flame Atomic Absorption, Melting Point, Specific Rotation, Karl Fischer, FTIR, Osmolality, and TOC.). Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor in Chemistry or related subject Experienced with simple instruments (pH, conductivity, TOC, Osmolality) and wet chemistry experience. Experienced with and comfortable with handling chemicals and following established safety practices. Experienced with or minimally aware of pharmacopoeia such as USP-NF, EP, JP, ChP. (4) Knowledgeable with cGMP testing.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00
