And, you’ll receive excellent compensation and benefits for your efforts!The Principal Data Architect, Director will lead and support 0ur client’s organization's vision to deliver transformative data services platform services and analytic services for the Enterprise by enabling software developers, analytic partners, and other key stakeholders to deliver data, analytics, and platforms by providing expertise on technology, architecture, and design.The Principal Data Architect Director will report to the CTO.Responsibilities· Lead data architecture initiatives that span many value streams and products, helping to ensure successful product deliveries. You will influence and lead teams across the business units.· The Principal Data Architect Director will be responsible for initiating and delivering a contemporary enterprise data architecture strategy and roadmap that aligns and supports each of the Our clients's business unit strategies. This includes driving the Enterprise Data Mesh/Fabric architecture and roadmap.· The Principal Data Architect Director is responsible for delivering enterprise data capabilities which enable the business to realize value through consistent, accurate, reliable, and high-quality data, and will ensure that the data ecosystem is easy to evolve, triage, and support. Applying a wide range of Big Data and cloud technologies, solutions and approaches, the data pipelines and data assets must scale to support consumption by thousands of business intelligence, performance analytics, and data science consumers across the enterprise.· Additionally, the Principal Data Architect Director will evaluate and assess existing legacy data assets with an eye towards modernization and simplification. He/she will provide data architectural consulting and recommendations to delivery teams, programs, projects, and initiatives. Working closely with IT solution architects, he/she will support business and IT strategic planning processes and ensures that data architectural designs contemplate excellent end-to-end outcomes.What You'll Be Doing Daily· Develop and maintain an aspirational data architectural road map for the enterprise.· Provide architectural direction and oversight on the initiatives in enterprise data and analytics.· Collaborate with Product Managers/Owners, end-users, operational leadership, and subject matter experts to understand current and future goals/requirements.· Ability to build and articulate a data architecture and delivery roadmap indicating current, transition, and future state architectures, focused on clear benefits to data science, business intelligence and performance analytics consumers, as well as the IT/data delivery communities.· Defining the data architecture framework, standards, and best practices, principles, and patterns.· Develop architectural blueprints and strategies for the current state, transition, and future state with the pragmatic approach that aligns with the data strategy· Recommend modern technology stacks and enable adoption to meet business objectives· Collaborate and coordinate with enterprise architecture teams and solution architects within the organization.· Gain organizational commitment for enterprise level data architecture and data infrastructure initiatives.· Stay current and informed on emerging technologies; Prototype, analyze, and develop a point of view on core, enabling, and emerging technologies.· Ability to lead software evaluations including RFP development, capabilities assessment, formal scoring models, and delivery of executive presentations supporting directional recommendations.· Identify core common data shared across the enterprise and participate in enterprise-wide efforts to reach common understanding of that data.· Design and evolve metadata management practices and metadata-driven integration strategies· Adapt and work with team members of various experience levels and mentor/coach the team· Conduct proof of concept activities with key business users in support of advanced use cases.· Participates as an evaluator and negotiator for procurements related to data and analytics activities· Lead the charge of periodic architecture related Capability Assessments and provide reports and recommendations to leadership to continuously advance our architecture· Acts as the point of escalation and serves as an expert on Data as well as assisting in the identification, analysis and resolution of data driven problems· Provide technical and architectural subject matter expertise to program, project, and initiative teams; oversee activities to preserve the architectural vision.· Establish and facilitate Data Design Review Board / Community of Practice to oversee design activities to preserve the architectural vision.· Participate in Enterprise Data Governance CouncilsQualifications· Thought leader with 15+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering and Governance. Lead data architecture initiatives for many value streams (e.g., Agile/SAFe Release Train).· Experience with enterprise multi-tenant SaaS applications· Expert with RDBMS and/or NoSQL databases. Understands the benefits and trade-offs of both. Familiar with normalization and denormalization, sharing, and other data-centric patterns· Strong implementation experience in implementing Enterprise Data Foundation Solutions and Master Data Management Capabilities· Expert with RDBMS and/or NoSQL databases. Understands the benefits and trade-offs of both.
