Part-Time Medical Director – Columbus (North), GA

MedMark Treatment Centers is looking for a part-time physician that is dedicated to helping patients in their road to recovery.

Primary Job Function:

1. Admitting Patients for Methadone and Buprenorphine Treatment.
2. Covering absences for the Medical Director during vacations, attendance at addiction meetings, and personal absences.
3. Obtaining a history and physical exam.
4. Documenting into the EMR, entering orders for methadone dosing in the EMR, or writing a buprenorphine prescription.
5. Consistently monitoring patient dosages in conjunction with the Treatment Center Director, Counselors, and Dosing Nurses.
6. Consulting on high-risk patients and conducting annual medication reviews.
7. Rotating between Chatsworth and Blairsville locations.
8. Performing other related duties as determined by supervisor.

Qualifications | Education | Certifications:

1. Physician must be licensed in the state of GA.
2. Board certified in Addiction Medicine or Family Practice.
3. One year of addiction medicine experience is required.
4. Must be able to interact compassionately with a diverse population.
5. Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
