We are seeking an experienced and skilled Instrument and Controls Technician to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a deep understanding of various control systems and instrumentation. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving hydraulic and pneumatic systems, Allen Bradley, Ladder Logic, and DCS. Furthermore, the individual should be capable of building electronic transmitter test fixtures. Responsibilities
Inspect, test, adjust, and repair electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems used to indicate, record, and control generating operations in a power plant. Calibrate readings on instruments according to standards and adjust phasing and align stages to ensure accuracy. Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, using test equipment. Operate and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Work with Allen Bradley, Ladder Logic, and DCS systems, ensuring their smooth operation and handling any necessary repairs or upgrades. Build electronic transmitter test fixtures as required. Conduct regular inspections of systems and equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety. Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems. Ensure compliance with all safety and operational guidelines.
Qualifications
A minimum of 5+ years of experience as an Instrument and Controls Technician or in a similar role. Proven experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, Allen Bradley, Ladder Logic, and DCS. Demonstrated ability to build electronic transmitter test fixtures. In-depth knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems, as well as computer diagnostics and systems integration. Strong troubleshooting skills and a keen eye for detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Strong commitment to safety and operational guidelines. Relevant certification or degree is preferred. Ability to work independently and take initiative in performing tasks in a timely and accurate manner. Must be willing to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces.
