Job Posting: Travel Medical Receptionist

Location: Onsite - Kennewick, WA 99338
Pay Rate: $18.83/hr
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (40 hours a week)
Duration: 13 weeks

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a medical receptionist or administrative role is preferred.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to work well under pressure and manage high patient volume.

  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

  • Proficiency with computer systems and medical record management.

  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

  • Demonstrated customer service skills, with a focus on patient care and satisfaction.

  • Knowledge of medical insurance and billing processes is a plus.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in medical office administration or related fields are a plus.

Position Overview:
As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in delivering excellent patient service while supporting front desk operations. You will be responsible for answering phones, greeting patients, managing patient demographics, scheduling appointments, collecting payments, and performing general office duties, including maintaining medical records and supporting the medical team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Registration & Data Entry: Ensure all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered accurately in the registration system.

  • Customer Service: Greet patients and their families, offering a warm and welcoming environment. Provide clear explanations of forms, procedures, and office processes.

  • Insurance Verification & Payment Processing: Verify insurance benefits, obtain necessary pre - certifications/authorizations, and process required payments, including co-pays and deductibles.

  • Communication & Coordination: Interact with patients, caregivers, and medical staff to address concerns, communicate delays or cancellations, and ensure smooth transitions in patient care.

  • Medical Record Maintenance: Accurately maintain and file medical records, ensuring that all necessary forms are completed and confidential information is protected.

  • General Office Duties: Handle phone calls professionally, assist with appointment scheduling, and manage general office tasks such as filing, copying, and preparing documents.

  • Teamwork: Work closely with other team members to manage workloads and support the clinic's needs. Assist with office supply coordination and report equipment malfunctions to the clinic manager.
