Accounting Clerk needed for North Houston client (Hardy Toll Rd & Sam Houston Parkway)

Temp to Hire

$20 - $25 an hour depending on experience.

• Process and review invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies
• Enter invoices into the accounting system.
• Ensure timely payment of bills from vendors.
• Manage vendor relationships and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Reconcile credit card transactions and receipts accurately.
• Assist with month-end closing by preparing relevant reports.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all transactions.
• Support the finance team with filing, data entry, and report preparation.
• Assist with setting up new vendors, including filling out forms, credit applications, and other related documents.
• Provide required documentation for audits as needed.
• Stay updated on best practices in accounts payable and financial processes.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

•Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

• Previous experience in accounts payable or general accounting is preferred.
• Good skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
• Ability to work well independently and with a team.
• Proven oral and written communications skills through work
• Proficiency with numbers and basics of accounting
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment
• Must be team oriented and willing to help others in and out of the department
• Adaptability to change as well as the ability to grasp new concepts and processes including technology
