About This Role:
The Associate Sales Engineer will be responsible for seeking out opportunities to introduce Videojet's coding and marking products as well as our software solutions, building customer relationships, and driving profitable growth. You will partner with a Senior Sales Engineer to develop and expand an existing territory, with an emphasis on new business development, but also supporting some existing accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and meeting the needs of prospective customers by reviewing the application and developing, selling and integrating solutions. This position requires a level of technical aptitude and basic understanding of production environments, as well as the ability to engage in commercial discussions with key stakeholders.
Experience in building strong, valued based customer relationships, which will help contribute to Videojet's continued industry leadership position and strong financial performance is a plus.
This position is part of Videojet's North America Commercial Organization and will be remote, supporting central and southern Indiana.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $65,000 - $70,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Incentive Pay.

In this role you will:
- Prospect for new accounts that will create new revenue generating activities in the specified sales territory. Doing this in a sustainable, resource efficient way is a source of competitive advantage for Videojet vs its competitors.
- Promote the specific value of Videojet coding, marking, and imaging products and services to the customers within the specified geographic territory with the goal of maximizing sales revenue growth and market penetration.
- Demonstrate the unique attributes of Videojet's solutions in on-site customer meetings through demos of our products.
- Comfortable working with a wide variety of key customer decision makers (operations managers and technical managers).
- Develop appropriate sales volume, pricing and standard margin forecasts and capitalize on/compensate for market changes via price changes or share gain.
- Collaborate alongside our internal sales, service, and customer teams to ensure projects of large scope of expertise are supported appropriately.
- Improve sales efficiency and effectiveness through the rigorous use of sales tools; maintain robust sales funnels and engage in ROI-based selling.
- Provide basic first line customer assistance as needed; partner with the extended Videojet team to serve customers throughout their product life cycle.
- Technical Aptitude - Ability to understand the basic functionality of the technology in order to setup/install a unit for customer production and perform basic customer assistance and troubleshooting
- Bachelor's Degree Required, preferably in a Technical or Business field
- Minimum 1-2 years' account management experience or sales (technical preferred)
- Direct sales experience in the ink jet product coding industry would be a plus
- Experience with SFDC and Strategic Selling skills would be a plus
- Ability to connect and engage customers both over the phone and in person will be critical to success.
- Detail oriented with strong time management skills and ability to prioritize and balance both, long and short-term projects
- Ability to think and plan strategically; troubleshoot efficiently and work with team members to ensure seamless integration of customer applications, requirements, and timelines.
- Ability to travel overnight 20% of the time
