Join Our Team as a Delivery Driver at Johnstone Supply - The Founder's Group



The Delivery Driver is responsible for pulling and loading orders, and ensuring safe and secure deliveries to our customers. Serving as the face of Johnstone Supply, this individual must have an excellent level of customer service, seeking to provide the best delivery experience to our customers.


SCHEDULE -

Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 3:30 pm (some Overtime available during busy times)



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -


  • Deliver orders to customers in a professional and timely manner.
  • Receive in daily rush orders and weekly Corp and Tigard orders.
  • Check stage on orders.
  • Put away stock in warehouse and pull will-call orders for customer pick up.
  • Maintain bin locations.
  • Process ship-outs that need to go from Bend branch.
  • Process all Bend warranty and returns and verify that paperwork has been neatly and properly filled out.
  • Prepare warranty and returns for ship out to Tigard branch and/or vendor direct.
  • Order and return compressed gas tanks as needed.
  • Clean and straighten warehouse daily.
  • Work well as a team player.
  • Follow all Company Policies/Store Standards.


OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES –


  • Assist with counter/phone sales and calling customers to inform them of any backorders that are ready for pick up on an as-needed basis.
  • Recycle cardboard and empty branch garbage twice a week.
  • Fill freight claims when necessary.
  • Assist with stocking showroom.
  • Attend ongoing training classes.
  • Work on special projects as assigned.



Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS –

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Must possess and maintain a current valid driver’s license.


A. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to five years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Past experience would include shipping/receiving, and material handling. HVAC/R experience along with customer service and/or sales preferred. *


B. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Skill and ability to type 30-50 wpm, operate a computer, use 10 keys or calculator, organized and prioritize work, meet deadlines, prioritize and handle multiple tasks and able to operate office equipment. Good written and verbal communication skills along with good listening skills. Forklift.



*All new hires must successfully pass a DMV/Background and Drug test. Must possess a valid driver's license for the past 5 years, with a clean driving record.
